Everyday I have to live with the guilt of amputating my sons. But all we can do is learn from our mistakes and move on. :)Mommaof3Loveshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03520993345006698255noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218215652328409330.post-28176598113725112192011-03-01T23:41:14.554-06:002011-03-01T23:41:14.554-06:00I had the exact same experience - I declawed a cat...I had the exact same experience - I declawed a cat before I ever had kids, and it was only after the fact that I started researching. I can't tell you how many nights I stayed up, horrified at what I'd done. Just think of all the future cats you will not be declawing (and that you saved with your post!).Shawnahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08656166197748243958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5218215652328409330.post-13957565709310455802011-03-01T09:06:38.422-06:002011-03-01T09:06:38.422-06:00I'm so sorry. The best thing you can do is just learn from this experience.
That's all we can ever do.

You're human, you make mistakes, we all do. Declawing cats is similar to circumcision in a lot of ways - it's just something people "do" without really researching and thinking about it. I'm glad to see someone talking about the procedure (I'll also mention the even worse procedure of "de-barking" dogs...shudder).

Your kitty will forgive you - and this article will probably save other kitties from the same pain. :)

(hugs)NotTellinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17717609731146815913noreply@blogger.com
